We are pulling out of our driveway to go to our son’s first Championship Baseball game. He is the starting pitcher today, and then it happens. My phone rings and it is the church secretary. Pastor, the bathroom toilet has overflowed and the sanctuary is flooding. Now I get a text from the head deacon, I am on the way to the hospital. My wife is going into labor and she is hemorrhaging.

The phone rings again……My wife looks at me and says. “Can’t you just ignore that phone long enough to watch your son’s game! We have a life too!”

Does any of this sound familiar? As a pastor the multiple directions of life that pull on us are impossible to imagine, unless you are a pastor.

The “Call” of a shepherd is a great responsibility and the gift of a wife and children is a wonderful blessing. They each demand our time and attention. The only way to have the wisdom, strength and sensitivity do all well is by the “Hand of God” on our life.

As Pastors it is critical that we surround ourselves with men(pastors) who completely understand this and are willing to go to the throne of God with us and for us. Having men of God who we can trust standing with us is invaluable and standing up for our fellow brothers is just as important! As a pastor, it is very easy to find ourselves standing all alone when church and family collide. This is why we have developed the Champions Table also called the “Pastor’s Prayer Fortress”. It truly is a fortress of prayer.

The Champions Table becomes your prayer fortress, four men standing together when everyone else scatters. These four men develop a sacred bond that is unbreakable! This “prayer fortress” is the foundation of the Champions Table.

Some may still say, I am a Pastor, why do I need a “prayer fortress”? I am constantly being asked to pray about every kind of issue imaginable. Every single day someone has a new crisis that needs immediate attention and prayer. Prayer is a way of life for me. I get up out of bed praying for people and I go to bed praying for people. I pray for our country and for Israel, I pray for my wife and children, I pray for revival and a mighty move of God, for the hurting, I pray for the widows and orphans, the homeless and hungry too.

Again, some will respond, “Pastor’s Fortress”, I feel like I live in a fortress? Well, that is the point. The walls of “aloneness” can grow thicker and thicker when a man stands alone. That is why Jesus himself gave us the model to follow! Men like us linking arms with us and “praying with us and for us”, mighty men of God who love us and we are safe with! Now this is what every Pastor needs!

The Champions Table “Frees” us and breathes life and vitality into us. We never feel alone again. Start your Champions Table today and feel the relief that comes from your “Pastors Fortress of Prayer”.

Now watch this short video and see for yourself:

Where every time you turn around predjudice seems to raise its ugly head we would like to announce that many Pastors who have started Champion Tables are breaking these generational attitudes! Pastors of all races, denominations and tribes are meeting each week in groups of (4) for relationship and trust building. These Champion Table Pastors are producing Kingdom Champions and Leaders who are linking arms to destroy the enemy strongholds in their communities!

In Valrico, Florida one Table has brought Southern Baptist, Assembly of God, Seventh Day Adventist and a Messianic Rabbi together to meet every week. In Eldoret, Kenya many Tribal Pastors are now becoming best of friends because of weekly encouraging and holding each other to serious accountabilty.

When people see Pastors loving one another, liking one another and publicly fellowshipping and having fun, the curse of predjudice suffers a huge blow. When Pastors in every city in America follows suit, America will change! Praise God many are!

Pastor, what about you?

It was a whirlwind trip to Nigeria All Pro Pastors Paul Pickern and Champions Church(Winter Haven, Florida) Pastor Nolan Edwards took on April 29-May 8th to speak at the International Pastors Conference in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Logos Ministries Founder and Presiding Bishop Yomi Isijola contacted us while on a visit to Tampa in March and expressed his desire to start Champion Tables with the many Pastors he oversees throughout Nigeria. Many Pastor and Denominational leaders were scheduled to attend. In less than a month we recieved funding, got our NigeriaVisas, Passports were updated(Thanks to our local US Congressman) and airline tickets secured. Praise God, it all came together without a hitch!!

The Conference Started with Pastor Nolan speaking a powerful message of Worship and Praise. This set the foundation for the whole week. I was able to introduce Champion Tables to all the Pastors and had four Bishops sit at the Champion Table to illustrate how one should look. The Conference was a complete success and our time ended with Pastor Nolan laying hands on over 200 Pastors to pray for healing and impartation. The impact was super-natural!

We have been invited to return next year to follow-up what was a great start. If God opens this up I could see a team of Pastors going.

While in Nigeria we felt safe at all times. Our security and care was always the highest priority. Pastors Akin and Aduke’ were our hosts and they allowed us to stay with them in their home. The people of Nigeria that we met were very kind and demonstrated great honor. The women wore beautiful and colorful clothing most of the time. The food we were served was delicious and all authentic Nigerian. We did have security guards with us during all transportation except once.

Over all I would say the mission was very very successful. God opened the door and we said yes to His call. He took care of us and we obeyed!

Abundant Life rolled out the Red Carpet for Pastors and Spouses Feb 28th then surprised everyone with an old fashion “Fish Fry with Grits and Hush Puppies” luncheon treat! Pastors were encouraged, loved and blown away by Pastor Ron Ellis from BAM International. His powerful word had everyone out of their seats and cheering like the winning touchdown had just been caught.

Words from Pastors Steve Gornoski and Bob Stone about their “Champion Tables”  illustrated beautifully the importance of being a part of a Champion Table. Having  three brothers to share issues in trust and confidence each week is just like a vacation according to these pastors.

Thank you Pastor Ron Stewart and Chuck Thorpe for being great hosts and providing a terrific blessing for the pastors in Lakeland, Fl.

Thursday January 17th was our first 2013 USA luncheon for All Pro Pastors. Many Pastors and wives attended. The testimonies of how God was using the Champion Tables to encourage and strengthen marriages and ministries brought many tears. One wife declared that her husband’s Champion Table had saved their marriage. Praise God! The Champion Table is a place where we as Pastors can go and feel totally SAFE and totally Honest.

Rehoboth Faith Cathedral hosted and put on a fully catered mouth watering meal. The team, Pastor Willie Bolden has, did a wonderful job.

The beautiful testimony is there were Baptist Pastors sitting with Assembly of God Pastors and Messianic Rabbi’s with Pentecostal Bishops at the same table sharing and laughing together like a family should. Both Black and White, Nigerian and Indian Pastors all together as one one body who love Jesus and each other.

The Champion Table is helping Pastors learn to Trust one another and bring the Kingdom together. If you are not in a Champion Table, start one today. It will change your life.

Eldoret All Pro Pastors

Pastors in Florida USA are coming together in Champion Tables and seeing miracles  and many prayers answered. Pastors are giving testimonies each week how God is using the TABLE to strengthen encourage and sometimes save them! Praise God.

In August a packed house of Pastors from all denominations joined hearts and minds together for an All Pro Pastors luncheon at “The River” church which is pastored by Dr Rodney Howard-Browne in Tampa Florida. Baptist, Assembly of God, Methodist, Church of God, Four Square, Non-denominational, and many others came to be encouraged and embraced by the Kingdom love of God. The River demonstrated the love of God by opening their arms of love to all that came. We were blessed by their love and servants heart.

New Hope church and Pastor Dennis Gibson in Winter Haven Florida just weeks later hosted a Luncheon and again Pastors came together across all barriers and walls of divide to embrace each other and start many new friendships. Champion Tables continue to spring from this Pastor/spouse luncheon. It was an awesome time!!

September 27th the 1st Baptist Church at the Mall in Lakeland Florida hosted an All Pro Pastors luncheon and there was standing room only when all had arrived. Many Pastors started their journey to become Champions that day. Lives were changed, re-commitments were  made, pastors stated that from that day forward they were changing  things in their life!  Praise GOD!!

Hundreds of Pastors in central Florida are reaching across the broken divide to focus on the Kingdom and bringing the lost to the Savior.

AFRICA ,AFRICA ,AFRICA praise God that Pastor Moses Brown went to Kenya in February 2012 and introduced many Pastors to All Pro Pastors. Bishop Peter Simwa in Eldoret  caught the vision that Pastors need each other and he started a movement of All Pro Pastors that is reaching throughout the whole Continent. From October 15-29 APP has a team of 4 pastors invited to hold Pastor conferences and participate in crusades in Nairobi, Kitengela and Eldoret.  These two weeks we are honored to go and serve the many pastors and people of Kenya for our Lord Jesus. Please Pray for the power of God to fall on Kenya and for His servants to hear clearly His message and to obediently share these life-giving words. Please pray that many Pastors will start new Champion Tables.

Thank you for being a part of this ministry with your support and prayers. We love you and pray for you.

Thursday June 21st was our first ever Pastors luncheon at the Tampa Florida Shoresh David Messianic Church. Pastors from many different cultures and denominations came from all over the Bay area and Polk county to share in this special event. It was one of the rare times that we invited our host to share. We heard a great word on Israel and the importance of supporting the homeland we as Christians call “Holy”.

Rabbi Steve shared a great word and we also were blessed by some of the most beautiful singing we have ever heard. In a time that many are calling the “endtimes”, it would certainly make sense that we give Israel our full support. As Christians we have been grafted into the chosen family of God by the blood of Jesus! It was great to see the body again joining together under the banner of Jesus Christ the Messiah and King!

We are blessed that All Pro Pastors ministry now has one or more messianic pastors connecting with other Pastors in Champion Tables. Praise God!!

Pastor Moses Brown is heading to Kenya, Africa for a three day Pastors Conference from January 24-26. Pastor Peter Simwa has invited Pastor Moses to come to encourage and challenge their Pastors. Pastor Simwa called me to learn more about All Pro Pastors and to tell me that he had printed the “Champion Table” guidelines for each of the 200 plus Pastors they are expecting. Pastor Brown joined a Champions Table in 2009 and has stayed a faithful advocate for All Pro Pastors to other Pastors all over the world. We are honored to have Pastor Brown go as our Ambassador to Kenya.

Pastor Brown has extensive experience in presenting the gospel all over the world and serving mankind in many ways for Jesus. Please pray for this conference to bless these Pastors and to give them what they need to charge ahead as Champions. Please pray for Pastor Moses to have the hand of God upon him and His favor. Thank you for your prayers as we pray that many Pastors will soon be in Champion Tables in Kenya.

Pastor Peter Simwa from Kenya, Africa has scheduled a Pastors Conference from January 24 to January 26. The keynote speaker is Pastor Moses Brown from Tampa, Florida who has been a part of the All Pro Pastors ministry for three years . He has been involved as a Champion in a Pastors Table and now will act as an Ambassador for this ministry. I recently spoke with Pastor Simwa and he said that he is looking forward to getting “Champion Tables” started in Africa. He said that they have many needs as Pastors that are very much like every other Pastor however when I heard his testimony it was clear that he suffered much more hardship than American Pastors. Pastor Brown will be encouraging between 200 – 300 pastors. Please pray for Pastor Moses and Pastor Peter Simwa!

Special Announcement: Reverend Rogatien Q Nze is headed to Libreville Gabon Africa and has scheduled an All Pro Pastors meeting for August 24th at 10:00AM. Pastor Nze is our Ambassador to Gabon. We want to thank him in advance for his commitment to this ministry and for his passion to encourage Pastors worldwide.

We look forward to having Pastor Nze with Apostle Mathew Kalu who is the Vice President of the Libreville Missionary Pastors Association, work together to introduce All Pro Pastors and Champion Tables to the many great Pastors in Gabon.  We believe that every Pastor should be a part of a Champions Table and the meeting on the 24th will give everyone that is able to attend the opportunity to hear how Champion Tables are strengthening and encouraging Pastors and their families.

Please be in prayer for them.

Blessings

In a recent e-mail message from Bishop Ebenezer Sefah in Ghana-Africa, he writes “I would like to inform you we have started the Champion Group in Ghana-Africa and its really helping the Pastors here. Thank you for introducing me to this idea. It really helps!”  He later wrote, ” It’s really working here. Ghana-Africa says Thank You.”

Praise God!! What a blessing to hear from a Pastor and Leader who attended a Luncheon in Bartow Florida and took it back to his country. It is our prayer to see every man called Pastor, Bishop, Dr., Apostle, etc. connected through Champion Tables and serving God as men of God arm in arm!

Please pray for Africa!!! We love you!!!

MISSION

The purpose of our ministry is to empower Pastors to become Champion role models for all people through personal encouragement, challenge, accountability and achievement, and to bring unity to the “Body of Christ” through love, trust, prayer and personal relationships, that by this our Lord Jesus may say: “well done my good and faithful Servant”.

VISION

Our vision is to see the Body of Christ joined together through a Covenant of Prayer that brings all denominations, cultures, races and pastors together in action, and that pastors have relationship between themselves of trust, love and determination to save their community and make disciples for Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God!

  • Humble as a Servant leader, accepting this Powerful God given role (Humility).  Philippians 2:5-8
  • Accountable. God holds everyone personally accountable – we accept genuine self accountability shared with a trusted few for counsel, strength, and Agape’ love.  Proverbs 27:9
  • Mature – God expects us to be a “Role Model” by being Spiritually Mature.  Hebrews 5:13,14
  • Positive – Giving confidence to others by the words we speak and by displaying a victorious life attitude.  Philippians 4:13

  • Self Examination – To test ourselves against God’s Word and determine specific ways to Achieve improvement.  Galatians 6:3,4

Did you know that many pastors today live very lonely lives. Many pastors say, “I am surrounded by masses and still I am standing on an island all alone!” In recent surveys asking pastors what is the toughest thing about being a pastor, the re-sounding number one answer was “not having a trusted loyal friend”.

All Pro Pastors is a ministry founded in 2007 that addresses this issue head on. It is a “pastor-to-pastor” ministry bringing pastors together in very small groups of 4 for developing trust with encouragement, accountability and lifelong relationships. It is also a ministry that provides on-going words of inspiration and motivation with helpful resources, tools and special events that we can link into.

As men it is very easy to keep things bottled up inside and as pastors our very nature puts us on guard. Many pastors are stepping down or out of the pastoral ministry each and every day due to the pressure and high expectations that we feel. The fact is, only another pastor can relate to what we feel. It is with this in mind that we started what we call, “The Champions Table“.

The development of “The Champion’s Table is a God given instruction to be shared with all pastors. Pastor, the Table is a safe place! Jesus gave us an example to follow. We also call it “The Jesus Model“.

We believe that God has called pastors to lead, to set the example, to be His “Champion Role Models”. Through the Champion’s Table we see God changing pastor’s lives and their families, becoming leaders that men want to follow, and filling the void of aloneness by building trustworthy friendships!

All Pro Pastors is reaching around the GLOBE through the power of technology and “pastors telling pastors”. Pastors throughout North America, Central America, Asia, Europe and Africa are forming Champion’s Tables in increasing numbers and report that they are having a great impact on all relationships. Many other Continents and Countries are connecting the Kingdom together through Champion’s Tables and are sharing with us astonishing testimonies.

Note:(The Champions Table format can be used by any Ministers Group, Association or Organization as a tool to strengthen and sustain their efforts)

Letter from the Founders

Dear Pastor,

In 2003 the Lord clearly spoke to me that we as Pastors need to learn to trust one another and to love each other. He also said that we as Pastors need to live” Holy” lives at home and embrace accountability. This word started my wife and me on a journey to begin a ministry called All Pro Pastors International(APPI).

The Lord gave me the vision of 4 pastors meeting together as men and this was to be called “The Champions Table”! The Champion’s Table is the foundation of APPI and have helped Pastors throughout the world to experience miracles, start lifelong friendships, save marriages and ministries, and unify the Body for Kingdom building. We are committed to praying for you and encouraging you to stay the course! When we say we love you, we mean it.

Please take the time to read through some of these great testimonies and to watch some of the Pastor’s Testimonies  and much more on our All Pro Pastors YouTube Channel. We are absolutely sure the Holy Spirit has given this to us for all pastors and it will bless you.

As a Pastor it is your decision as to whether you want a strong “Accountability and Encouragement” table or simply a Fellowship/Friendship table. Both are extremely essential in your life. These are a few examples of what makes a successful Champion’s Table:

  1. Pastors who meet together with Pastors from different churches/denominations/tribes/etc (if at all possible).
  2. “Four” Pastors are the best number at a Table. 5 or more reduce “Trust Building” genuine intimacy.
  3. There are stages “Strong Tables” go through. : Fellowship-Friendship-Honesty-Encouragement-Commitment-Trust-Accountability-Achievement-Success-CHAMPIONS
  4. The Table is not a Bible study. (You should already have this). It is easy for us as Pastors to avoid real issues by using the Bible as a way not to face them. The Table is for us as Men.
  5. The Table is your Prayer Fortress! You can put any and all prayer needs on the Table because it is safe and secure.

Please read through the Champion’s Table Guidelines and pray about this for yourself. We love you and this ministry is striving to honor God best by serving you as His Servant. Press onward as Champions!

Your Servants,

Paul and Linda Pickern

Note: We invite you to become a part of connecting 1,000,000 Pastors by 2023 through Champion’s Tables of trust, love, encouragement and accountability. We need your prayers. There is NO Cost or Fees required by Pastors to join or start a Table. All-Pro Pastors is completely funded by donations of Individuals, Christian Companies, Pastors and Churches who want to see Pastors encouraged and strengthened. Participation in any way helps this ministry reach more Pastors and provides for on-going daily and weekly encouragement, national and international travel, radio and television, breakfasts-luncheons and dinners, pastor conferences, pastor retreats, website support and encouragement, e-mail messaging, other events and critical personal pastoral care.

The ‘Table of Champions’ is a group that we consider to be “elite” pastors, kind of like the Special Forces! This does not mean they are better than anyone else, it means they embrace accountability, faithfully  pray for fellow pastors, accept the Bible as God’s undisputed infallible word, accept marriage as between a man and a woman, that God created every person unique and either male or female without mistake, and actively seek unity within the Body of Christ by developing relationships with fellow pastors! This group encourages each pastor to start or join a “Champions Table” which is 4 Pastors who meet each week for prayer, accountability and encouragement, either in person or virtually! They hold each other up to a higher standard of achievement for the kingdom of God.

A Champions Table is a group of four local pastors(leaders) who meet together on a weekly basis for one to two hours to challenge each other, to encourage, to pray for one another and to help attain individual goals. To have a friend you must learn to be a friend. Champion Tables allow pastors to develop trusted friendships that are genuine.

As a pastor I have found it very difficult to trust anyone. I have many friends/acquaintances in my church and denomination, but these are people I would never expose my hurts or weaknesses to. There are times that I have questions and frankly I am embarrassed to ask anyone because of what they might think. Other times I get so frustrated I just want to quit, knowing I can’t it just stays inside of me like a sore that keeps festering.

Does this sound familiar? You may have other issues that only you know about. The Champion Table may be the place that over time you build deep rooted trust. The kind of trust that you can say anything and know your words and feelings are strictly confidential and secure . How refreshing to find a place where I can take my “Pastor Title” off and just be a man.

Jesus RejectedIt is every Christian’s desire to be like Jesus! Do you know there is one vital example that Jesus gave us that most men do not follow. We call it “The Jesus Model”!  This model can also be seen when studying the lives of Moses and Daniel.

If we are to be like Jesus, to imitate his life, then we must follow his example when it comes to developing deep trusted personal relationships with other men. In the Book of Mark three times it is recorded that Jesus took Peter, James and John aside, leaving the other disciples out. When Jairus’ daughter is raised from the dead, when he took them to the transfiguration, and in the garden of Gethsemene when he was troubled and distressed before his crucifixion he called them to join him. Sometimes people refer to this group as Jesus’ inner circle. It would be fair to say that Jesus might very well have taken them aside many times that are not recorded in the Bible. These four men spent a lot of personal time together. Jesus knew what was about to happen when he went to pray that night in the garden. His human body was about to be broken beaten and utterly mutilated and he wanted his “buddies” his closest trusted friends with him in those final hours. It was these three, Peter, James, and John who he poured more of himself into than any others. He trusted them and he felt safe with them!

Moses also had a strong group of 3 men who he leaned on, Joshua, Hur and Aaron. Aaron and Hur held Moses arms up during the battle with the Amalekites while Joshua led the physical fight. Sometimes we need a couple of brothers to hold our arms up and to fight for us.

Daniel had Shadrack, Meshack and Abednigo as his inner circle or trusted accountability and encouragement brothers.

Having men to encourage us and hold us accountable is something every man needs. Jesus allowed himself to be accountable as a man with Peter, James and John. His willingness to take them into his sacred trust is a further demonstration of how important that it is for us to learn to trust! Jesus was well aware as “the Son of God” what was taking place at all times. Jesus was all man and all God and he wanted his friends with him when it counted. He personally set the standard that this is what I need and you need too!

peter simwa and friendsFor Pastors it is a very powerful message for our spouse, church family and leaders when they know we have accountability and a place to unload our burdens when distress and trouble hits us. As a Pastor we are also human, we have the needs of the flesh along with the battles of the flesh. Making the decision to follow Jesus’ example will give genuine relief and freedom.

Finding three men (Pastors) to link arms with will extend your life, improve your marriage, and strengthen your ministry. We call this group of four the Champion’s Table!

Testimonials

“I wanted to drop you a line to express my joy in our All Pro Pastors Champion Table. We have been meeting since May, 2007 now, and the intimacy level is really growing. We have seen barriers come down, and transparency taking place. Our four pastors have learned to lean on and count on one another. Hardly a week goes by that I don’t receive an email or phone call, giving or asking for encouragement. Every pastor needs a Table like ours.”

Fred Harrold, New life Community Church USA

“All Pro Pastors has helped me as a man, a husband and a Pastor. The impact of Champion Tables in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania is changing the Kingdom of God for all of Africa. My life will never be the same!”

Ambassador Peter Simwa, Higher Vision Center, Eldoret, Kenya

“Our All Pro Pastors Champion Table meets every Tuesday morning. I was at a point where I had decided not to add anything else to my weekly calendar. After a couple of weeks I discovered that the “Champion Table” was not your normal “meeting type” atmosphere as some would think.  It offered open discussion with like-minded people who share the same type of accomplishments, challenges, and needs.  We share the importance of honoring God as the husbands, fathers, and leaders in our homes.  I now look forward to Tuesday mornings as a priority.”

Kevin M. Wynne, FBC Durant USA
