Are You the Difference or Not?
Well, today we are in West Virginia right on the Greenbryer River and I have a quick challenge for you today.
Over this weekend, we’ve just had a lot to think about. You know, a 250year anniversary of our country declaring its independence and ultimately making a difference in the whole world.
I personally do believe that this country was ordained and created by God. Some of you may differ with that. That’s okay.
Are You?
My question for you today is, are you a difference maker? Are you really making a difference? And I don’t mean just as a pastor, just as a leader in your church, but I mean really and truly, are you making a difference that you can tell in your community? How and what kind of difference are you making in your family? And do you feel like it’s too late for you today? I mean, come on.
Some of us, you know, we’re getting a little bit up in age, but I believe the best is yet to come the older we get because we have wisdom. We have years of experience. We have children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.
You can leave a legacy of making a difference if you just will embrace it.
You Have Influence
As pastors and leaders, you have so much influence on people’s lives, whether you know it or not. And my question today is, how do you see yourself as a difference maker? What are you doing as a difference maker? And really, what more can you do? Are you engaged with what’s going on in people’s lives? Really, what’s going on?
Are you afraid to embrace the challenges of today where there’s so many things happening that
affect our family, our children?
Come on. Today at your table, let’s talk about how can I be a difference maker even more so than I ever have been. What can I do?
Reflect a little bit on what we have done, but let’s not just let the past determine everything. Let’s let the future make a difference and let each one of us make a difference.
God bless you, Linda and I love you. We pray that you had a great Fourth of July weekend and a celebration wherever you are in the world.
We thank you for your love and support. God bless you.
