2026 Central Florida Leadership Prayer Breakfast has Three National Headliners

The 6th Annual Central Florida Leadership Prayer Breakfast this year features three of America’s great leaders sharing their powerful messages of leadership, faith and eternity.  What a blessing to have U.S. Senator Ashley Moody, Bishop Kelvin Cobaris and Rick Green. The following will give you more about who they are. Please pray for them as they daily serve America in their own God ordained way!

U.S. Senator Ashley Brooke Moody

We are honored that our very own U S Senator Ashley Moody will be here in person to share her story and her heart for serving Florida residents and American citizens.

Ashley Moody

Ashley Brooke Moody is a United States Senator representing the State of Florida. A fifth-generation Floridian, attorney, former federal prosecutor, circuit court judge, and former Florida Attorney General, Senator Moody has built her career around law, public safety, and public service. Appointed to the United States Senate in January 2025, she became only the second woman in Florida’s history to serve in the U.S. Senate.

Ashley was born on March 28, 1975, in Plant City, Florida, a community internationally recognized as the Winter Strawberry Capital of the World. She is the oldest of three children born to Judge James S. Moody Jr. and Carol Moody. Her father served as both a state judge and later a United States District Judge, providing Ashley with an early appreciation for justice, public service, and the rule of law.

Growing up in Plant City, Moody became active in school, church, and community activities. Friends and teachers often described her as disciplined, academically gifted, and deeply involved in leadership activities. She graduated from Plant City High School in 1993.

One of the most recognizable moments of her youth came when she was selected as the 1993 Florida Strawberry Festival Queen. The Florida Strawberry Festival is one of Florida’s oldest and most celebrated annual events, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. Serving as Festival Queen is considered one of Plant City’s highest civic honors and recognizes young women for scholarship, leadership, community service, and character. The experience helped introduce Moody to public speaking, civic engagement, and representing her hometown across Florida.

Ashley Moody is often referred to as a Triple Gator because she earned three degrees from the University of Florida:

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting
  • Master of Accounting
  • Juris Doctor (Law)

She later earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Law from Stetson University College of Law.

Her educational background combines business, accounting, law, and international legal studies, providing a broad foundation for her later judicial and governmental service.

Following law school, Moody joined the law firm Holland & Knight, where she practiced commercial litigation while also volunteering to help victims of domestic violence obtain protective orders. She later became an Assistant United States Attorney, prosecuting cases involving:

  • Drug trafficking
  • Firearms crimes
  • Financial fraud
  • Organized criminal activity

This experience gave her firsthand exposure to the federal criminal justice system and strengthened her reputation as a capable prosecutor. In 2006, at only 31 years old, Ashley Moody was elected as a Circuit Court Judge in Florida’s Thirteenth Judicial Circuit (Hillsborough County), making her one of the youngest judges in Florida at that time. For approximately a decade she presided over a wide variety of civil and criminal matters, earning respect for her preparation, professionalism, and commitment to applying the law fairly.

Attorney General of Florida

Ashley Moody was elected Florida’s 38th Attorney General in 2018 and served from 2019 through January 2025.

As Attorney General she focused on:

  • Human trafficking prevention
  • Opioid litigation
  • Consumer protection
  • Internet crimes against children
  • Support for law enforcement
  • Combating organized crime
  • Border security issues
  • Public safety initiatives

During her tenure Florida recovered billions of dollars through opioid-related litigation and expanded statewide efforts against human trafficking. She also served on the Presidential Commission on Law Enforcement during President Donald Trump’s first administration.

United States Senate

On January 21, 2025, Governor Ron DeSantis appointed Ashley Moody to the United States Senate following Marco Rubio’s resignation to become U.S. Secretary of State.

She serves on several Senate committees, including:

  • Judiciary
  • Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs
  • Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP)
  • Joint Economic Committee
  • Special Committee on Aging

Her stated priorities include:

  • Border security
  • Public safety
  • Economic growth
  • Support for law enforcement
  • National security
  • Protection of children
  • Government accountability

Ashley Moody has publicly spoken about the importance of faith, family, and service, and has participated in numerous faith-based events throughout Florida including speaking for our 2nd Annual Central Florida Leadership Prayer Breakfast in 2022 when she was the Attorney General.

She has supported legislation and legal positions involving religious liberty during her public career. Her background as a prosecutor, judge, attorney general, and senator gives her experience across all three major branches of government at the state and federal levels.

Senator Ashley Moody’s career reflects a progression from local community leadership in Plant City to statewide and national public service. From her early recognition as “Florida Strawberry Festival Queen” to her work as a federal prosecutor, judge, attorney general, and U.S. Senator, she has consistently emphasized justice, public safety, and service to the people of Florida. Her appointment to the United States Senate marked another milestone in a career devoted to public leadership and positioned her to influence national policy on behalf of her home state.

Needless to say, we are very proud of Senator Moody and her stellar representation for us in Plant City, Florida and the United States of America.

Rick Green

Let me introduce former State of Texas Representative Rick Green now known nationally as America’s Constitution Coach.

Rick Green is an American constitutional educator, attorney, former Texas legislator, author, radio host, and founder of Patriot Academy. Nationally recognized as “America’s Constitution Coach,” he has dedicated more than two decades to teaching citizens about the U.S. Constitution, America’s founding principles, and civic engagement. Through his speaking ministry, educational courses, media programs, and leadership training initiatives, Green has become one of the most recognizable voices in the modern constitutional education movement.

Rick Green was born and raised in Texas. He pursued a career in law, earning his law degree before entering public service. As an attorney, he developed a strong interest in constitutional law, individual liberty, and the role of citizens in preserving America’s constitutional republic. His passion for American history and the nation’s founding documents eventually became the central focus of his life’s work, leading him from practicing law into public service, education, and ministry.

Green was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 1998, serving from 1999 through 2003. While serving in the Texas Legislature, he became increasingly convinced that many elected officials lacked a thorough understanding of the Constitution and the principles upon which the United States was founded. This realization ultimately inspired his vision to educate future generations of civic leaders rather than solely pursuing elected office. Following his legislative service, Rick and his wife, Kara Green, founded Patriot Academy, a leadership organization dedicated to developing informed citizens and future leaders grounded in constitutional principles and a biblical worldview.

Patriot Academy offers programs including:

  • Leadership training for students
  • Legislative simulation programs
  • Constitution courses
  • Biblical Citizenship classes
  • Constitution Coach training
  • Constitutional Defense courses
  • Youth leadership academies

Since its founding, Patriot Academy has expanded nationwide, with tens of thousands of Constitution Coaches helping lead Constitution classes in churches, homes, schools, and communities throughout the United States. Rick Green earned the nickname “America’s Constitution Coach” because of his unique ability to explain the Constitution in a practical, engaging, and accessible manner. His educational philosophy emphasizes:

  • Understanding the original intent of the Constitution
  • The historical context of America’s founding
  • The responsibilities of citizenship
  • Constitutional self-government
  • Religious liberty
  • Civic participation at the local, state, and national levels

His presentations combine historical storytelling, legal analysis, humor, and practical application, making complex constitutional topics understandable for audiences of all backgrounds. One of Green’s best-known educational resources is “Constitution Alive”! This multimedia course is taught on location in historic sites such as “Independence Hall” and incorporates historical documents, commentary, and practical lessons on the Constitution. Thousands of churches, civic organizations, and educational groups have used the curriculum as part of local Constitution study classes.

Rick Green also developed Biblical Citizenship in Modern America, a course that explores the relationship between biblical principles and American civic life. The curriculum includes instruction from Green and other conservative Christian leaders and is designed for churches and community groups interested in studying America’s religious and constitutional heritage.

*The very first Biblical Citizenship in Modern America class was held in Lakeland, Florida at Believer’s Fellowship Church. It was actually being edited as the classes progressed for 8 weeks.

Green has become a familiar voice in conservative media through his work as:

  • Co-host of The WallBuilders Show with David Barton and Tim Barton
  • Host of At The Core on American Family Radio
  • National conference speaker
  • Television guest
  • Podcast host

Green speaks across the United States to:

  • Churches
  • Christian schools
  • Homeschool organizations
  • Civic groups
  • Leadership conferences
  • Political organizations
  • Educational seminars

His presentations typically focus on constitutional literacy, America’s founding history, religious liberty, and civic responsibility. Patriot Academy states that he addresses roughly 100,000 people annually in live events, in addition to his radio and television audiences.

Rick Green has become one of the leading advocates for constitutional education within conservative Christian and civic circles. Through Patriot Academy, Constitution Coach programs, books, broadcasts, and speaking engagements, he has encouraged citizens to become more informed about the Constitution and more active in public life.

Ok, this may be information overload, but we are truly excited about having these three on the same platform to share at our Leadership Prayer Breakfast.

Prayers that everyone will be blessed!
