This is the TRUTH

Well, champions, here we are today in San Diego, California and we are here for the Liberty Pastors Conference, and I just have a quick question for you about true accountability.

You know, I talked to many pastors about accountability and encouragement, and what I have discovered that many pastors will actually say, “I like one on one.”

Better than One-on-One

Well, actually, our champion table is much better than one-on-one because the champion table you have three guys actually just like Jesus had Peter, James, and John who meet with you every single week and you have wise counsel.

You have encouragement, but you don’t just have one person’s that you’re sitting with and talking to and often debating and you may or may not get good counsel. Fact of the matter is you may not be getting accountability at all, because one of the things that we do at our champion tables is we actually encourage writing down areas that we need accountability and encouragement.

This Stretches You

You know the champion table is just that it makes champions because what it does is it stretches you beyond where you would normally be because you have three brothers pushing you and encouraging you but not beating you up.

They’re there to lift you up when you don’t succeed and help you to victory because they are there for you.

They’re your friends. They’re who you can trust and they’re that when you are in serious issues, you can talk to whether it’s something in your marriage, in your church, in your personal life, whatever it is, if you’re struggling with a challenge, that’s the champion table.

My question is, do you truly embrace accountability? Even at your table, are you being honest? Are you being thoughtful? Are you listening? Are you caring? Have you totally exposed the areas of need that you have? And are you being stretched to the fullest that God would have you to be?

You Are Challenged

I challenge you to be real at your table today to talk about these things and share the areas of need that you would like to succeed in and truly be a champion.

Linda and I are praying for you. We love you. God bless you and thank you so much for your prayers, too.
