Four Smiles Report on Kenya Trip 2025
As a traveling evangelist, it was a real honor to travel to Kenya with Paul and Jon. I so appreciated the opportunity to add my evangelistic gifting to the pastor’s conference put on by APPI – All Pro Pastors International. I was tremendously blessed to be the evening evangelist on the first two nights after arriving into Nairobi. What blessed me abundantly was to sit and listen to brother Paul Pickern share his heart of love for pastors and pastoral ministry. Though Paul spoke through an interpreter, the message was simple and profound, and there was nothing lost in the delivery of his message of love for pastors. I was also very touched by Pastor Jon Friedt’s sermon delivery on the first day of the conference. He was very simple, but full of the Word of God, to the point that as he continued to preach you could sense a fresh touch of the Holy Spirit come into the room, opening the door to preach a second message without a sense of being tired. This wonderful operation of preaching I have only seen on the mission field, it truly is a wonder of God. My final thought was my thanks to Brother Paul for letting me come on the trip and bring the cross and thousands of Smiles tracts. It truly touched my heart to see the pastors at the conference take thousands of Smiles tracts home with them after the conference. Not only did they take these supplied evangelistic tools with them, we were also able to walk with the cross in Nairobi after the conference had ended. That was a definite highlight for me. My final thought was the gentle dreamer the team demonstrated in our interaction with the African pastors. It truly was genuine love and humility, not lording over their faith, but rather encouraging it. My last thought, if given the opportunity, I would definitely go again.
Every Blessing in Christ.
