The Champion Pastor is the Pastor who is commited to being the Authentic Role Model that God created him to be. He recognizes that next to having a personal relationship with God that continues to grow, your relationship with your family is your highest priority. Your wife is your first priority after God, followed by your children. The call into pastoral ministry does not replace your responsibility and commitment as a spouse or parent. It is in addition to it. You also accept the responsibility that men, women and children are looking to you to set the standard of how to live as Christians. You are their living Role Model for Christ!
Champion Pastors are committed to Achieving:
#1 A daily quiet time with God for himself, not for the church or others. This is time seeking God’s daily infilling of Himself to you
#2 Praying Daily with your Wife (Audibly)
#3 Good Financial Stewardship- Honoring God with your finances and talking with your spouse about them (NO SECRETS)
#4 Having Fun with Wife- Taking out on dates, going on real vacations, laughing together, playing together, etc.
#5 Being a dependable provider!!!! (This may require making tents)
#6 Being an Encourager at Home!
#7 Being the Husband that everyone sees as a Champion
#8 Being the DAD example that every dad wants to imitate
#9 Taking time with your children to teach them, love on them, play with them and LISTEN to them so that they will know that they are second to none!
#10 Pray with your family on a regular basis
#11 Meet once per week with a Champions Group for encouragement, challenge and achievement
#12 Being transparent and willing to listen to other pastors as Men
